A premier video network, offering a diversified, multi-platform approach to connect advertiser’s video assets and content with their target customers as well as offering video content production services is looking for a desktop support technician/ jr. system administrator. This person will assist in supporting information technology needs within our growing organization. Responsibilities include:
Receives incoming service requests via phone and email
Monitor and follow up calls in help desk email/ticket queue, documenting all resolutions.
Provide resolution and assistance to Windows XP, Vista, and Mac OS X related problems
Provide resolution and assistance to standard supported applications: MS Office, Internet Explorer, Antivirus, adobe product suite, and other supported proprietary applications and systems.
Maintain inventory of systems and hardware.
Ability to work overtime or off-hours as needed, and to be on call.
QUALIFICATIONS
A+ / Network+ certification a plus
1-2 years experience in hardware and software support
Excellent customer service skills including verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong knowledge of the following operating systems: XP, Vista, Mac OS X
Knowledge of the Internet and Microsoft Office
Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software problems
Knowledgeable on software installations, Antivirus and malware/spyware
-Previous work in a start up, internet media, or advertising environment a plus
Education:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, or comparable experience
